RECOGNITION TO MR. MASUD’S CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS IMP PROJECT

IMP-Project

Bangladesh Bank has intimated all the scheduled banks regarding Online Import Monitoring System in the month of June 2012. In the month of November 2012 they confirmed that the system will be implemented from 01-Jan-2013. Dhaka Bank was lagging behind in reporting the import transactions in the online system of Bangladesh Bank from the beginning of its implementation. Later, on June 2013, when the central bank cautioned for non-reporting of IMP information in Online System in parallel to the manual process, Dhaka Bank took a project under direct supervision of the then Deputy Managing Director (Operations) Mr. Sajjad Hussain, which was later led by Mr. Md. Shakir Amin Chowdhury, SEVP (Foreign Trade). CPC-Trade Operations were assigned update all the IMP information in the online system and Mr. Muhammad Masud Parvez Khan, Officer, GTS, was assigned to coordinate the process in communication with Bangladesh Bank, Branches and CPC-Trade Operations (in Dhaka & Chittagong). There were total 11,428 IMP transaction in the year 2013, all of which later updated in the Online Import Monitoring System of Bangladesh Bank.

Mr. Masud played the key role in implementation of the project for updating all the IMP information of the year 2013 in the Online Import Monitoring System. Mr. Masud was in continuous communication with Bangladesh Bank managing them to allow us enough time to update all the required information. He coordinated all the AD (and also Non-AD) branches to cooperate CPC-Trade Operations to update all the information within the stipulated period allowed by Bangladesh Bank.

Mr. Masud worked with his personal initiative, analytical skill and sincerity to update all the IMP information of the year 2013 (including correction of the wrong entries, and fine tuning of the reporting).

To recognize his efforts and dedication to his assigned job, we recommend him for an award of Gift Cheque for Tk.5,000.00 (Taka Five Thousand Only) along with an appreciation letter which will motivate him for further dedication to his job in Dhaka Bank.
