Dhaka Bank clinched awards at the “Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024” in three categories

Dhaka Bank was ranked in top position for three categories at the Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024 namely, Excellence in Mastercard Credit Business (Domestic) 2023-24, for 100% domestic transaction growth; Excellence in Mastercard Business (Innovation) 2023-24, for the introduction of exclusive co-branded credit card facility with the three top Clubs of the country Dhaka Club, Gulshan Club & Uttara Club; & Excellence in Mastercard Business Growth (Issuing) 2023-24 for the achievement of the highest card business issuance growth across the industry.

Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC. received the awards on behalf of the Bank from Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Hon’ble Governor of Bangladesh Bank in presence of distinguished senior Management officials from Mastercard, other banks, fintech, merchants, and various industry leaders. The award was themed ‘Leading by Resilience’ held on 16th November 2024, at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. designed to recognize the contributions of organizations in the banking, payments, and fintech space in Bangladesh, building a strong digital economy by furthering financial inclusion.

These accolades of Dhaka Bank PLC. has been given to create a milestone towards the digitalization of financial services. Ms. Trishita Maula, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy in Dhaka, Mr. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & CEMO of Dhaka Bank PLC, Mr. H.M.
