Mr. A.K.M. Shahnawaj has recently been promoted as Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Ltd. Prior to this position, he was the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Branch Manager of Local Office (Principal Branch) of the Bank. Mr. Shahnawaj has started his banking career back in 1989 with Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd as Probationary Officer. In his long 29 years of banking profession, he has also served Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd (MCB), Bank Asia Ltd and presently Dhaka Bank in different capacities mostly as Head of Credit / CRM, Regional Manager, Chottogram and Manager of different corporate branches at Dhaka and Chottogram.

Mr. Shahnawaj did his MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka after completing graduation from University of Chittagong with honours in Economics. He attended a good number of trainings / seminars / workshop on banking, management and leadership at home and abroad. He is also associated with the different service clubs of the country.
