Mr. A K M Shahnawaj, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Dhaka Bank PLC, is a seasoned banking professional with over 37 years of extensive experience in the financial sector. He joined Dhaka Bank on 10 January 2013 and has since held several key leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director (Current Charge) effective 1 October 2025.

A. M. M. Moyen Uddin, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC, is an accomplished professional with over three decades of experience in the banking and technology sectors. He joined Dhaka Bank on 16 April 2015 as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Information Technology and has been serving as Deputy Managing Director since 1 January 2021.
With a strong background in information technology and banking operations, Mr. Moyen has been instrumental in driving Dhaka Bank’s digital transformation, strengthening its technology infrastructure and ensuring operational efficiency through innovation. His leadership continues to enhance the Bank’s capabilities in digital banking, cybersecurity, and IT governance. Currently as a Member of Senior Management, he is playing the supervisory role over Operations Division, IT Division, AML & CFT Division, Risk Management Division as well Cards & ADC Operations. He is also holding the position of CAMLCO and CRO of Dhaka Bank PLC.
Prior to joining Dhaka Bank, he was the Head of Information Technology of Eastern Bank PLC. Before joining bank, he worked in Chartered Accountants Firm and Software Development House as software developer and designer. His professional journey encompasses 29 years in the banking industry and 4 years in the technology and consulting sector. During his career with the banks, he played vital roles in Core Banking, Payment and Financial System implementation, process automation, data conversion and IT risk management and Certification.
Mr. Moyen obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degrees from University of Dhaka. During his career, he attended numerous trainings, seminars and workshops on different aspects of Information Technology and Banking at home and abroad.

Md. Mostaque Ahmed is a highly accomplished banking professional serving as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Emerging Markets Officer (CEMO) at Dhaka Bank PLC. In addition to his role as CEMO, he also looks after the Offshore Business (OBU) and CPC Trade Business of the bank.
A foundational member of the bank, Mr. Ahmed has been with Dhaka Bank since July 5, 1995, contributing to its success throughout his 33-year career in the financial sector. He has held the executive role of DMD & CEMO since August 2021, where he is responsible for driving strategic market growth and overseeing executive management functions.

Mr. Akhlaqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC, with over three decades in the field, is a highly experienced banking professional specializing in corporate and branch operations. He joined Dhaka Bank in March 1998 and has since made significant contributions to the Bank’s business growth, credit management, and customer relationship excellence.
Over his long and distinguished tenure, Mr. Rahman has held a series of important leadership positions within the Bank. He has been serving as Deputy Managing Director – Corporate since 1 January 2023. Prior to this, he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking Division from 2020 to 2022. Earlier, he successfully led several key branches of Dhaka Bank, including Banani, Gulshan, and Baridhara, in managerial capacities between 2010 and 2020. His career progression also includes roles in Credit Management and Branch Operations, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic insight.

Sheikh Abdul Bakir is a seasoned banking professional with over 34 years of distinguished experience, dedicating 30 years to Dhaka Bank PLC. He, throughout his tenure, has successfully managed several of the bank’s key branches, including Dhamnondi, Karwan Bazar and Banani Road 11 and, demonstrating exceptional managerial wisdom and a results-oriented approach. Beyond his core managerial duties, he also serves as a mentor, providing strategic guidance and oversight to multiple branches across the Dhaka and Narayanganj regions.
Mr. Bakir started his banking journey with Basic Bank PLC. and subsequently joined NCCBL before switching to Dhaka Bank PLC. In 1995. He has completed MBA from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) with Magna Cum Laude Distinction.

He started his banking career as Assistant Director in 1999 with Bangladesh Bank – Central Bank of Bangladesh, where he had worked and facilitated with policies and according permissions in Agriculture Credit, Banking Supervision, Promoting Foreign Exchange Investment both Direct and Portfolio, Structured Finance as well as cross border Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A).
Then he served Citibank N.A., as Resident Vice President, managing Operational Risk and Internal Control (ORIC) framework across the business and functions of the franchise. As a country Head of ORIC, he rolled out the system of the risk identification, assessment and reporting as well as escalation ensuring robust control environment in Citibank, N.A., Bangladesh. He was recognized and awarded with Citibank N.A., Bangladesh CEO’s excellence award in advisory and facilitator role in one of the cross border M&A of Telcos.

Sahabub Alam Khan, FCA, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dhaka Bank PLC, is a highly accomplished finance professional with over 15 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector. He began his banking career in 2010 and joined Dhaka Bank PLC on 11 February 2016 as Head of Accounts and Financial Reporting. He is recognized for pioneering several industry-first achievements in Bangladesh, including eRIN (the country’s first digital nano loan), Account from Home (enabling remote account opening) and the LoungeKey access card.

Mohammad Masud Shahjahan, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Treasury at Dhaka Bank PLC, is a distinguished banking professional with over 21 years of extensive experience in the financial sector of Bangladesh. He joined Dhaka Bank PLC on 27 January 2025, bringing with him deep expertise in treasury operations, financial market management, and NRB banking.
Before joining Dhaka Bank, Mr. Shahjahan served at Trust Bank PLC as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Treasury & NRB Division, where he played a pivotal role in the automation and centralization of the NRB Division and led key initiatives to strengthen treasury management and compliance frameworks.
