A Strategic Partnership Agreement was recently signed between Dhaka Bank PLC. and Planten Agro Limited. Through this agreement, the two institutions will work together to achieve sustainable development of the agricultural sector, provide bank loan facilities to agricultural entrepreneurs/listed farmers of Planten Agro and achieve integrated agriculture-based economic prosperity. The signing ceremony held at the head office of Dhaka Bank PLC was attended by the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Emerging Market Officer of the bank, Mr. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, H. M Mostafizur Rahaman, Senior Executive Vice President and Head, Retail Business Division and Md. Katebur Rahman, Executive Vice President and Head, Agriculture Banking Unit and Managing Director of Planten Agro Limited, Mr. Golam Faruque, Debasish Bhattacharyya, General Manager, Shabab Salehin, Head of Finance, Md. Jashim Uddin, Head of Market Development. Also, senior officials of both the organizations were present at the ceremony. Under this partnership, agricultural entrepreneurs of Planten Agro Limited will be able to avail bank loans and banking facilities on easy terms, which will help their farmers increase their productivity and expand their markets.
