Dhaka Bank launches Contactless EMV Chip Credit Cards
Dhaka Bank Limited has launched full range of contactless cards with embedded EMV Chip technology with Visa on September 27, 2018 at the Corporate Office of the Bank. With this, the Bank has embarked on the journey of bringing latest technology of card-based payments in the country.
On contactless platform, the Bank brings Visa Signature, Platinum and Gold Credit Cards which bring more speed, convenience and security in everyday payments. For payments of up to Tk.3,000; the contactless option of the cards will be available at the outlets where contactless cards are accepted. So, for now onwards, the clients will enjoy faster payment experiences at groceries, restaurants, shopping outlets and every other payment. In case of payment of more than Tk.3,000/-; the cards will be required to dippedin the machine and the clients will need to insert his/her secret PIN. The contactless payment experience will also be available for using Dhaka Bank cards abroad; respective countries have different payment threshold for allowing contactless transactions via cards.
Along with the relentless pursuit of pacing up with new technology, the Bank also brings convenience and luxury for its Signature and Platinum cardholders. As a new proposition, from mid-October, the Bank will introduce first time in Bangladesh “LoungeKey”– Dhaka Bank card itself will be accepted to access the lounges worldwide. Furthermore, there will be life and travel insurance coverage for every cardholder and “Meet & Greet” service at Dhaka airport, making Dhaka Bank Cards a true travel companion.
