Dhaka Bank Foundation donated Taka 1.2 Million to BIRDEM
As a part of the corporate social responsibility Dhaka Bank Foundation has provided Taka 1.2 Million as donation in the year 2006 to Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine & Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) as a gesture of humanitarian consideration for the dialysis treatment of the financially needy persons. Mr. Shahed Noman, Managing Director, Dhaka Bank Limited formally handed over this donation to Professor A. K. Azad Khan, Secretary General, Diabetic Association of Bangladesh on December 27, 2006 at BIRDEM Conference Center.
Among others, Major General (Retired) Professor A. R. Khan, Chairman, BIRDEM, Major General (Retired) Professor Ziauddin Ahmed, Director General BIRDEM, Mr. M. A. Mokaddem, CEO, Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital, Professor Nazmun Nahar, Director, Clinical Services, BIRDEM, Dr. Abul Mansur, Project Director, Kidney Transplant Unit, Mr. Farid Kabir, Deputy Director, Publication & Public Relations, Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Azam Khan, Assistant Vice President (PR), Dhaka Bank Limited were also present on the occasion.
