Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh Limited (CRAB) has assigned “A1” rating in the Long Term and “ST2” rating in the Short Term to the Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL). Commercial Banks rated in this long-term category are adjudged to be strong banks, characterized by good financials, healthy and sustainable franchises, and a first rate-operating environment. This level of rating indicates strong capacity for timely payment of financial commitments, with low likeliness to be adversely affected by foreseeable events. Banks rated in this short-term category are characterized with commendable position in terms of internal fund generation, access to alternative sources of funds and moderate level of liquidity.
Managing Director & Economic Advisor to the Board of CRAB Masihur Rahman PhD handed over the certificate of award to the Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Shahed Noman on behalf of their respective organization at a simple ceremony in the city recently.
