Mastercard announced winners of the Mastercard Excellence Awards 2025 on 22 November 2025. The seventh edition carried the theme Inspired by Future and honored strong performance within Bangladesh’s banking, payments, and financial sectors.

Dhaka Bank received recognition in two segments: Excellence in Mastercard Business Co Brands 2024-25 and Excellence in Financial Inclusion 2024-25. Both honors reflected steady progress in secure payment services and wider access for customers across the country.

A M M Moyen Uddin, Deputy Managing Director, received the awards on behalf of Dhaka Bank from Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank. The hall included senior representatives from Mastercard, leading banks, fintech firms, merchants, and other organizations linked with the payment sector.The program took place on 22 November 2025 at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. The theme was Inspired by Future, which reflected ongoing work to strengthen reliable digital services. The recognition highlighted Dhaka Bank’s role in expanding access to modern financial tools and supporting steady progress in customer-focused service delivery.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Hon’ble Governor of Bangladesh Bank, as Chief Guest, and Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, as Special Guest. Also in attendance were Gautam Aggarwal, President, South Asia; Mastercard, Mr. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & CEMO of Dhaka Bank PLC., Mr. Akhlaqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC., Mr. H.M. Mostafizur Rahaman, SEVP & Head of Retail Business Division, Dhaka Bank PLC., Mr. Syed Mohammad Kamal, country manager of MasterCard, Bangladesh and Ms Zakia Sultana, Director, Mastercard, Bangladesh were also present during the award ceremony.
