Benefits for Dhaka Bank credit card holders

“Credit Shield Program” is a Quintuple Benefit insurance Plan for Dhaka Bank credit cardholders. Under this plan the cardholder can enjoy valuable coverage at a nominal monthly premium of 35 Paisa for every BDT 100 of outstanding dues on their card. In the event of death or permanent total disability the entire dues on the cardholder’s outstanding will be waived and additionally the cardholder or his/her successor will receive the following compensation:

• Accidental Death: 100% card outstanding due will be settled; additionally 3 times of the outstanding due will be provided to the successors.
• Death due to sickness: 100% card outstanding due will be settled; additionally 100% of the outstanding due amount will be provided to the successors.
• Critical Illness: In the event of being diagnosed with any of the 13 critical diseases* 50% of last month’s outstanding due will be compensated to the cardholder’s account.
• The maximum value of the total benefit will not exceed Tk.40, 00,000 (forty lac)

The monthly premium will be charged to the cardholder’s account and appear on their monthly statement as proof of payment of premium for the coverage.

OTP/2FA for e-com Transactions

Every time a cardholder does online shopping with Visa Signature credit card on a website / mobile app which supports OTP service, a password (i.e. OTP) will be sent to their mobile phone number or email address which are already registered with the Bank. The cardholder’s online transactions will only be successful upon providing the correct OTP. Therefore Dhaka Bank Cards are now enabled for online transactions and more protected over the online space.
Simple steps to perform Online Transactions via Dhaka Bank Cards:

• Step 1: Visit any merchant website / mobile app online that accepts Visa Cards for your purchases. It may display Visa Logo and/or ‘Verified by Visa’ logo
• Step 2 : Proceed to checkout process to perform online transaction and type your Dhaka Bank Debit, Credit or Prepaid Card details (Card Number, Name, Expiry, CVV) as required.
• Step 3: A screen (having Dhaka Bank’s logo) will pop up asking you to choose your mobile number or your email address in which the one-time password (OTP) will be delivered. Enter the OTP as you have received via SMS or email and press ‘Submit’. With this you will successfully perform an online transaction with secure OTP.

Meet & Assist Service

Dhaka Bank Visa Signature credit cardholder will be entitled for special “Meet & Assist Service” from the airport, especially designed to facilitate travelers arriving and/or departing. Prior travel plans will need to be communicated through the contact center.

Card Cheque

Dhaka Bank Card Cheque brings convenience, flexibility, to our valued cardholder and enables them to make the payment through account payee cheque from their available limit on their credit card. There are some places where credit card cannot be used to make payment for example house rent, insurance premium etc. but a card cheque can be used to make the payments. Card cheque will be very much convenient to meet the below purposes.

• Cardholders are able to make payments (Account payee only) to any person or organization of their choice. This is useful for making payments where credit card cannot be used. The first cheque book issued to cardholders is free of cost.
• The payment will be credited to other party A/c through A/C payee cheque
• It is safe and secure. The cheque will be passed through clearing department, checking all the basic features.

Convenient Payment Option

The cardholder can enjoy the flexibility of making payment against their monthly bill by selecting any of the following payment options:
1. Payment of the total amount due.
2. Payment of only the minimum amount due (5% of your total outstanding or BDT 500 whichever is higher for local currency outstanding and for USD 5% of your total outstanding or USD 25 whichever is higher) and the residual balance can be carried forward to subsequent statements.
3. Payment of any amount ranging from the minimum amount to the total amount due.

Auto Debit

If an account is maintained with any Dhaka Bank branch, the cardholder has the option to pay his/her monthly credit card outstanding (the minimum amount/the total amount due) directly through their bank account under auto debit system.

Payment through internet Banking
/ Dhaka Bank Go App

If the cardholder has an internet Banking ID with Dhaka Bank, he/she can log on to their Internet Banking account and pay directly their card bills. Alternatively, they can also make the payment anytime by using Dhaka Bank’s mobile app - Dhaka Bank Go.

E-Statement Service

Dhaka Bank Visa Signature credit cardholders will receive monthly statements through their registered e-mail at free of cost. This is a fast, secure and efficient service, which will conveniently reduce paperwork.

Transaction Alert

Dhaka Bank Transaction Alert Service is a very simple, robust and convenient tool to know a credit card transaction details instantly. Dhaka Bank Visa Signature credit cardholders will automatically be enrolled in the transaction alert service of the Bank and get faster; reliable access to their monthly statements through mobile and e-mail.

Security Features

A Dhaka Bank Visa Signature credit card requires the cardholder to enter the PIN as a tool of the cardholder's personal identification at POS transactions along with ATM cash withdrawal transactions.

Zero Renewal Fee
